Overview

Close Friends is a party game app designed to be played with friends in real time. We take your privacy seriously and collect only the minimum data needed to make the game work.

What We Collect

• Player name: The display name you enter when hosting or joining a game. This is not linked to any account or personal identity.
• Game data: Responses, votes, ratings, and other gameplay actions submitted during a game session.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to run the game in real time. Player names and game data are stored temporarily in Firebase to sync gameplay between devices in the same room.

Data Retention

Game rooms and all associated data—including player names, responses, votes, and ratings—are temporary. They are deleted after the game session ends. We do not retain your data beyond the active game session.

What We Don't Collect

• Email addresses or phone numbers
• Location data
• Device identifiers or tracking IDs
• Analytics or usage tracking
• Advertising data

Third-Party Services

We use Google Firebase (Realtime Database and Cloud Functions) to host game sessions. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
